Tikkun Institute Staff

Rick Charnes is an activist on issues relating to the environment, food politics, biotechnology, and the relationship between science and spirituality. He has had a lifelong interest in exploring the connections between the personal and political. Rick is a founder and current director of EarthSave Boston, an organization that promotes an understanding of the ethical, environmental and health consequences of our food and agricultural systems.

Lisa Greber holds two undergraduate degrees from MIT and a masters’ degree in environmental studies from Antioch New England. She has worked in the energy and environmental field for the last fifteen years. Currently she is the founder and director of Earthrite, an organization specializing in spiritually-oriented nature education.

Pam Greenberg, MA holds two Master’s degrees, one in Jewish Studies from Hebrew College in Newton, Massachusetts and the other in Creative Writing from Syracuse University. Pam has published poetry in the Missouri Review, Green Mountains Review, and other literary magazines, and will be beginning rabbinical school at Hebrew College in the fall.

George Miller is a direct marketing executive and a major advocate of land conservation and environmental planning. Mr. Miller is a board member of the Opacum Land Trust of Massachusetts and holds chairman posts on various local government environmental committees.

Father Ray Helmick, SJ, – is a Jesuit priest and professor of international conflict resolution at Boston College. Father Helmick is the author of several books, most recently: “Negotiating Outside the Law: Why Camp David Failed.” Father Helmick continues to be involved in ongoing negotiation processes in the Middle East, Northern Ireland and elsewhere. He is a Senior Associate in the Program for Preventive Diplomacy at the Washington, D.C., Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Richard Oxenberg, Ph.D. is a professor of philosophy currently teaching in the Core Curriculum of Boston University. Richard has taught courses on ethics, great books and philosophy of religion.

Loren Rodgers is an organizational consultant and researcher specializing in participative organizations and employee ownership. He is a consultant at Ownership Associates and a researcher with the National Bureau of Economic Research.

Judy Teitelman holds a Masters in Physical Therapy from Boston University. After 17 years as a clinically practicing therapist, she has begun working in the field of marketing for AliMed, inc., a medical and ergonomics products company in Dedham, MA. She was also an active volunteer for the 2004 Kerry campaign.

Research Assistant

Kevin Block-Schwenk, M.Ed. is a longstanding member of the Tikkun community, and has extensive volunteer experience for political and environmental causes. He currently teaches at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Technical Contributors

Charlie Reitzel is a software engineer with experience in content management, internet security, and data management. As a lifelong, part-time activist, he is looking forward to seeing the Tikkun Institute provide a positive direction for the sister causes of peace and justice.

Deborah Scott is an editor and a writer in the Boston area.

Scott Will has been a web designer and developer for eight years in New York, and now in Boston is a student of massage therapy and energetic/psychotherapeutic bodywork.
